Last Friday, we had the EventStorming workshop in our Domain-Driven Design course as part of TH Köln’s Digital Sciences Master program, with specialization Software Architecture. Time and time again, it amazes me how powerful this method is as a starting point for any major software project.

EventStorming is a simple yet very powerful method to kick off a major software project. It provides a joint start for the developers and the business team, lays the foundation for your architecture, and helps to establish a mood of friendly and dedicated cooperation.

This is why we use EventStorming as a core method in our Domain-Driven Design course. For the subsequent workshops, we use the DDD Crew Starter Process as a guideline.
